ya i'm doing it as root . but i mostly think it did thenm when it installed buty i'm not sure cause i read up on it and i was doing every thing correctly thanx guys 4 th3 help

ok first up , mandrake updates . they won't install or i should say won't download and it won't show me any of them that i need , now when i installed mandrake the first time it let went to a atuo updater while installin it , now the second time it dosn't , i did everything the exact same way i did ...

using ETHEREAL . what Exactly is it for i have it included in my d1stro of knoppix also i have Ettercap wich i know how to use but Ethereal i don't nore do i even know wat it is used for , also , nmap under linux , i have got nmap and i have opended and saved it to my tmp files now i want ot run it ...

well i finaly got it . but i need help on the shell commands like how to run things and basicaly compile stuff like i know gcc and tar but i don't know how to use a exe or a program threw shell it's deffinatly not like dos and i need some help guys so if ya can please post back ty
